Nearly everyone has them, and they get used daily just about. Well, they can be very, very, very useful when facing mortal death or even danger.

Known as the library planet. All the data in the known universe is stored here. Even about the Doctor himself and about his adventures.

The Library was a planet-sized library that was built during the 50th century. It contained every book ever written. Within its core was the largest hard drive ever, serving as an index computer. The planet has one moon, which is known as Doctor Moon. The Library was commissioned by Felman Lux and was managed by a head librarian. Visitors to the Library used courtesy nodes: sculpted computer terminals containing real faces made from donated flesh. The security cameras were levitating wooden spheres. Visitors were advised to switch off the mobile comm units. Paper editions of every book were made specially for the Library. Unfortunately, the forests cut down to make the books were home to Vashta Nerada, which then hatched from the books and infested the library. The computer managed to “save” all 4022 visitors to its hard drive, where they could dream an imperfect virtual existence. The computer sealed off the planet, and it would be 100 years before the Lux family could arrange an archaeological expedition led by Professor River Song. The Library is currently infested with the Vashta Nerada.

A forest planet that holds sanctuary for the kind Chimerans, descended from the Chimeras that left ancient Greece.

It was once part of the Manussan Empire. The planet is very close to being a paradise, with a mild climate and warm blue seas. Much of Deva Loka is covered by sub-tropical jungles. It is also rich in exotic alien fruits and is largely unspoiled. It is the native planet of the peaceful and telepathic Kinda race.

The wet, tranquil planet. It is a planet constantly bombarded by positive energy and is believed (at least by the Doctor) to be one of the most beautiful planets in the cosmos. Ruins on the planet suggest that it had (or still does have) a civilization. After the last Time War (in which Gallifrey and all the time Lords have been destroyed) a shrine was built on the planet in memorial to that war.

A planet where dogs have no noses. In the Doctor’s opinion, it is a “fantastic place”.

A colony planet in the Veruna system in the serial of the same name. Frontios is a desert planet and is often bombarded by sandstorms and gale force winds.

Formerly Ulicka 9, this planet was bought by the Disney Corporation and is, quite literally, a Disney World. A giant amusement park full of everyone’s favorite animated characters, it is billed as “The Happiest Place in the Universe”.

Planet One was believed to be the first planet in the universe. One of the most noticeable features was a diamond cliff, which had writing said to be from the dawn of time. Around this cliff were dense jungles with large mushroom-like structures.

Cardiff is a relatively flat city bound by hills on the outskirts to the east, north, and west. It is also the place where the rift is most active, and where Torchwood 3 is based.

The mainland territory of England occupies most of the southern two-thirds of the island of Great Britain and shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west. It is elsewhere surrounded with water.

To the east of Ireland is Great Britain, separated from it by the Irish Sea. The island is divided between the Republic of Ireland, which covers just under five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom, which covers the remainder and is located in the northeast of the island. The population of Ireland is approximately 6.2 million people. Just under 4.5 million live in the Republic of Ireland and just under 1.8 million live in Northern Ireland.

A country that occupies the northern third of the island of Great Britain. It is part of the United Kingdom, and shares a land border the south with England. In the city of Glasgow, the little known Torchwood 2 is housed.
