PERSONALITY: Arwen's personality is quite complex. She is a quiet, reserved individual but can at times get completely the opposite when pushed. One of her most noble or honorable traits is that of loyalty. She will defend anyone to the death if that person has gotten her loyalty. Despite what she lacks in behavioral skills, she more than makes up for it in her field talents. Arwen is an expert hunter, becoming proficient in using advanced weaponry and technology. She normally doesn't hesitate in terminating enemies and using whatever methods necessary to get her targets. Arrestingly beautiful, she is tough as nails, physically adept and a skilled fighter maker her perfectly suited to her calling as a hunter supreme. She has moments of vulnerability but it's a side she deftly covers with a veneer of bravado and fearlessness.

HISTORY: Arwen's father, Alexander, had came to Earth a few centuries ago, it was all a result of a malfunction on his spacecraft. There he lived in the shadows, looking for anything that would help him escape his unexpected exile. He was what Stoker had written about hoping that someone knew what was needed to escape, but nothing came of it. He roamed the night and shadows of the Earth, believing himself the last of his kind until he met her. Arwen's mother. She captivated him, he did her. The two of them fell in love, finally Alexander had found the reason why he was on this planet.
But like all good things, it had to come to an end. A Time Lord, known only as The Doctor, unexpectedly dropped in during one of Alexander's feedings. Thinking the worst, The Doctor stopped him before going back to his expecting wife of nearly a year. When the Time Lord had realized that the vampire wasn't going to irreparable harm, he searched out the woman in the photograph he had removed from the wallet. He didn't expect her to be expecting a child. He delivered the heartbreaking news to the mother-to-be, and then handed over the medallion that he plucked off the vampire. "This is so that your child will know where it comes from. It means that he was the only civilized one of his kind left. They do not need to kill innocents to survive, just take a little at a time. I am dreadfully sorry." The Doctor then left, always somehow keeping that memory not far away from his consciousness.
Not long after that visit, Arwen's mother gave birth to her. Like the gestation, the labor was long and hard. As soon as her daughter was placed into her arms, she put Alexander's medallion around that newborn neck. It would serve her well in years to come. The medallion was never removed from her. She grew up as a normal child would, except for the monthly blood feedings her mother had to give her. Arwen wasn't a very social child, always preferring to keep to herself. Which might lead her into her current occupation.
When Arwen was about 16, she was orphaned and taken. It was a Saturday, and she was at home with her mom. A small group of men busted in and killed her mother in a struggle before dragging a screaming, fighting Arwen away. The group was Torchwood One, with an anonymous tip that Arwen was a dangerous extraterrestrial. She was arrested and brutally interrogated in addition to torture. They had taken her medallion, believing it was some part of some alien technology. When Torchwood was satisfied that she wasn't what they thought she was, they offered her immunity if she accepted a job with them. The other choice was death.
Arwen worked for Torchwood One following their rules and policies, that was until Torchwood One fell in the “Battle of Canary Wharf” and Her Majesty ordered it to be closed. In the wreckage, she found her beloved medallion and quickly donned it before she got out of control. She then went underground to avoid being noticed.
After Torchwood Three’s trip into the countryside to follow up on missing persons, Ianto confides in Jack his point that if they are humanity’s last line of defense he wanted to know who will protect them. Taking that worry into heart, Jack begins to search for an extra member to join the team in that capacity. However, the new member could not just be anyone…
Ianto gets word that Jack is looking to expand the team to ease his worry, and he tells Jack about the one female alien hybrid he had worked with on occasion with at Torchwood One, and he emphasizes that Arwen had gone missing since Torchwood One’s falling. However, Jack being determined to keep everyone safe searches for Arwen Llywelyn after getting as much information from Ianto as possible.
But Arwen was able to elude Jack for a long time. Jack was just about to give up his search when the 456 returned and threatened the future of the world by demanding ten percent of the children in the world.. So he was preoccupied with trying to save them, and put his search on hold for Arwen.
Then when the human race refused to give over the required children, Jack arrived on the scene and an argument ensued. The result was that the 456 released a poisonous gas that was deadly to nearly every living thing in the building. Ianto, who had accompanied Jack, would have died if not for a stranger immune to the gas. The stranger was of course Arwen Llywelyn, who took it upon herself to protect the children from the alien. It was just a stroke of dumb luck that she was there at the right time. When Jack and Ianto came to, she had already disappeared back into the shadows.
However that did not work as someone else had come looking for her and found her, Captain Jack Harkness. He found her drowning her sorrows and anger in liquor at a rundown, seedy bar in Butetown. He offered her a job with him, and promised that it would be nothing like working for Torchwood One, London. She had tried to decline, and he insisted that she think it over. Jack returned to the Hub and back to his team members.
A few days later, an unkempt Arwen showed up at the Hub and accepted Jack’s offer of employment. Arwen Llywelyn then became the first Unofficial Torchwood Three Team Bodyguard.

POST RP EXAMPLE:Arwen stood in her black trench coat and high-heeled boots, looking over the active rift from the roof of a building above. Jack had sent her the moment he knew it was going to be active in just a few short minutes. Normally he would send someone else, but only she could cover that much distance in just a short amount of time. The perks of being part vampire.
"You are to either stay at the rift until it closes, or follow and detain anything that comes out of it." Jack told her before she left. She had an idea on why Jack had her moved from the old Torchwood to his, but she was never able to confirm it. Something glittered inside of the rift and she moved her camera phone up into the line of sight. As it came out, she snapped a picture and sent it back to Torchwood. She then followed the being until she heard more instruction coming into the ear-piece that the Institute uses to communicate between its agents.
"Arwen, you are to follow and observe. We are sending someone to intercept." The female voice sounded in her ear loud and clear. She did as ordered. A few blocks down the street, a familiar dark vehicle flew around the corner and stopped on a coin in front of the being. Jack and Owen emerged from inside, and approached. Without further incident, it was taken to Torchwood.
"Good job, Arwen. Now, please go back to your position and make sure the rift closes." Jack instructed her before entering the car and speeding back the way it came. Arwen moved back to her previous post in a blink of an eye, and patiently waited for the rift to close. Once it did, she headed back to Torchwood to see what came through and if it was dangerous...
