PERSONALITY: This version of the Doctor is very childish and easily distracted. He likes many things and gets extremely excited about little things. He's very energetic and runs around very quickly, wildly waving his arms. This is just one of his many quirks, from liking fish fingers and custard to not being very good with romantic situations. He's a quick thinker and can always come up with a brilliant way out of anything. He can be rude, though, when he's trying to figure things out, sometimes even telling people to shut up when he's trying to think.
On the other hand, the Eleventh Doctor can be cold and unforgiving when things get serious. Unlike his predecessor, he doesn't really like to give second chances if the threat is bad enough. He can seem more alien that other versions of himself, because he seems unable to identify with humans as much as his predecessors could have done. Still, the Doctor can be close to his companions, and despite being estranged with them at times, he is still compassionate.
BACKGROUND:
Mother:
- Unknown, Deceased, Killed in the Time War
FATHER:
- Unknown, Deceased, Killed in the Time War
OTHER FAMILY:
- Brother (Irving Braxiatel), Deceased, Killed in the Time War
HISTORY: There was the House of Lungbarrow. The Untempered Schism. The Academy. All the things of the Doctor’s first incarnation that were very much apart of his life. As a young Gallifreyan, he was subjected to the years of studying and trials to become a Time Lord, but he graduated at long last. He was unable to pass his tests when it came to flying a TARDIS, however, and he ended up stealing one for himself.
Years later, the Doctor was banned from Gallifrey; he took his granddaughter Susan with him. When they landed on Earth, Susan began to attend one of the local schools, accidentally bringing home two of her teachers who were concerned with how differently she acted from the other students. Thus began the Doctor’s various adventures with companions and his eventual love for the planet Earth. Many incarnations followed, with trips to Gallifrey when needed, but mostly journeys with different companions over the years. There was the grumpy old man, the improviser, the dashing one, the eccentric, the vegetable-wearing cricket-lover, the manic multi-colored coat wearer, and the brilliant Scot-to-be.
The Eighth incarnation of himself was the one that experienced the Time War. It was certainly a trying time, and it made him face a decision that he would have never wanted to choose to make: destroying the Time Lords. He saw it as the only option in the end, the only way to stop the Daleks from destroying everything. He sacrificed his race, experienced a reincarnation, and was suddenly alone in the universe. Broken and alone, the Ninth Doctor looked for help in his old favorite planet: Earth.
Upon arriving, he met Rose Tyler, the young woman that would change him. They travelled for a long time, gathering the dashing Captain Jack Harkness along the way. Upon encountering a remnant of the Daleks with the Emperor Dalek, Rose looked into the time vortex to save him, Jack, and everyone. But to save her in return, the Doctor took the Vortex into himself. He regenerated into his Tenth self, continued travelling with Rose, and was later tragically separated from her after another encounter with the Daleks and the Cybermen.
He met a bride named Donna, and helped her for a brief time. Afterward, he started to travel with Martha Jones then, and it was during his time with her that he met the young girl named Elita. He found that she had a fob watch and realized that he actually might not be alone. After convincing her to open it, she was indeed revealed to be a Time Lady. Saying that he was enthused that there was another Time Lord in existence would be an understatement. She started travelling with him and Martha. With the discovery of the Master, there were suddenly two Time Lords surviving - but not for long, for he died after Martha helped him defeat the Master. Martha opted to stay home after the Year That Never Was, and he next ran again into Donna Noble.
She travelled with him and Elita for a while. When Davros brought back the Daleks and threatened all of time and space, a Meta-Crisis version of the Doctor was created, which unfortunately backlashed on Donna. The Doctor was forced to leave Rose with the Meta-Crisis Doctor back in Pete's World, and after returning his other former companions home, he had to wipe Donna's memory. The Planet of the Dead, the events on Mars... he knew his end was coming. The Master was resurrected, and in stopping him and saving the others, he did indeed regenerate - but not until he had said goodbye to his old companions in some way or another.
The Eleventh incarnation of the Doctor was regenerated into just in time to crash into Amy Pond's backyard. After he investigated a crack in her wall, he promised to return in five minutes, but it ended up being twelve years. After convincing to older 'Amelia' to trust him long enough to stop the Atraxi, they saved the Earth from Prisoner Zero. His TARDIS had finished regenerating herself right after, though, and the Doctor decided to take her on a test spin. He again expected a short amount of time, and he even left Elita behind to keep an eye on Amy. But again it wasn't a few minutes - it was two years. Elita was quick to jump back into the TARDIS (much to his amusement; as if he'd leave the only other surviving Time Lord!), and Amy was a little more difficult to pull along. She did join him, though, and the three are ready to leave. The Doctor, of course, has no idea that he picked up Amy Pond the night before her wedding to join him and Elita on their adventures...
ACTOR/ACTRESS USED: Matt Smith
TARDIS
- Name: the TARDIS
- Description: The TARDIS is an old Mark I, Type 40 TARDIS - but the Doctor wouldn't have it any other way. The chameleon circuit has long been malfunctioning, leaving the TARDIS with the exterior appearance of a 1950s/60s police call box. It features many rooms, from the console room, to many individual rooms, the Cloister Room, wardrobes, and a library - which may or may not include a swimming pool. The interior of the TARDIS console room features a few different levels, the main deck featuring the console atop a glass floor. The console itself seems to be a hodgepodge of materials, including a typewriter and some blue lights - the Doctor hasn't quite figured how what they do yet...
POST RP EXAMPLE: From another DW site, though a bit longThere was something about Donna that somehow made her just miss anything important that happened. For instance, today she was sitting in the office of H.C. Clements, doing nothing but filling out files and sending them to her boss to be checked over and sent to their boss. And underling to an underling. Somehow, Donna thought that described her life. Her mother never had thought that she was anything special, and that was what she had become: nothing special. She sighed, leaning back in her chair a little, fingers clicking away at their rate of 100 words per minute. She was efficient and nothing more. That was possibly the only reason she could get a job to begin with. Even then, she was never able to hold them for any special length of time. There were times that she wondered if she should have gone to work for that man that her mother had mentioned, that Jival Chowdry.
But Donna could never truly regret her decision. After all, she had met Lance here. She glanced down at the cup of coffee that he had given her earlier. Looking up, she saw him at the water cooler. She flashed him a grin, and he gave her a little wave. It was moments like those, however small, that kept Donna going, and not to mention, made her hope that she wasn’t about to get canned any day now. She half-expected to get kicked out now that she had actually found something in life. Finally! After all these years, there was a man around. A nice proper one too, not one of those jerks that tell her off at the shops just for bumping into them. Her work suddenly seemed a little lighter, and she at least had a smile on her face as she continued. Perhaps she would even take a break in a moment to stop by Lance and convince him to take her out tonight. She stopped for a moment to get a sip of her coffee. She looked down to grab the handle, but her hand paused mid-air. The liquid within was moving. It only took her a moment to realize that the entire cup was moving. What in the –
There was a loud boom, and the entire place shook like an earthquake had hit it, however briefly. Screams erupted across the room, and Donna’s loud vocal chords were amongst those contributing. She jumped up from her chair in surprise, looking around in confusion. Chaos was almost immediate after the moment of hesitation that everyone in the room had taken on. They all burst from their various seats and places, rushing for the exits. Emergency alarms began to kick on throughout the building. As her boss ran by her, Donna reached out and grabbed his arm. “What the hell is goin’ on?” Donna demanded. Her boss shook his head, breaking free from her grasp, and kept running. Donna decided that she had no other choice as well. She would be safest if she just got out of the building and kept her life. Maybe there were people outside that could actually tell her what was going on.
Donna ran towards the stairs, cramming into the stairwell with the others. She was towards the back of the crowd, however, and amongst some of the other stragglers. For once, she was in the middle of the strange events, facing danger. What was it, some sort of terrorist attack? There were always some of those going on, so she heard. Well, if that was what was going, then she would be learning about them soon enough. Or what it if was something like a hostage situation? Here she was, at the back of the line getting down the stairs! She had to get out of here quickly. She kept on down the stairs, annoyed at the crowd before her. “Move it, move it!” she shouted. “We could die here!” A few people in front of her cast her a fixed glare, but she shot them her own hostile look. They went onwards, and she practically fell down the stairs in her efforts to get out.
Donna had just made it to the first floor when she realized that she hadn’t seen Lance around anywhere. What if he was hurt? Was he still in the building somewhere? She paused, looking around, standing on her toes and trying to scan the crowd for him. “Lance?” she called. “Lance!” The remaining people still surged past her towards the doorway, hurrying out of the building. There was the possibility that he had already gotten out, since he had been closer to the exit than she had been, but she didn’t want to lose him. Something could be wrong. Despite the fact that she didn’t see herself as the brave type at all, there was no way that she was leaving Lance helpless in this building for… whoever they were. She turned back to the staircase, making it back inside just in time to hear receding footsteps. She paused, realizing they were going downwards. She turned, heading down the steps, at first in a hurry. As her cowardice got the better of her, she slowed down.
Donna slowly crept down the stairs. She hadn’t been to the lower levels of H.C. Clements before, and she surely wouldn’t have chosen to at any other time. She shivered slightly as she took in the wet, grimy walls. Her attention came back to focus as she heard some noise up ahead. Come on. This way! Donna narrowed her eyes. Definitely two people. Or definitely more than one. Were they taking Lance somewhere? She hurried down the rest of the steps, hoping that no one was at the bottom waiting for her. She rushed forward, barely seeing a set of shadows pass into a room. Creeping up to the room, Donna peeked around the corner. “Lance?” she whispered, but quite a bit louder than she had intended or even realized. “Are you in here?”
