PERSONALITY:

John Smith’s personality is both similar to the doctor’s but also very different, he understands the ways of a timelord and respects the time laws just as much as the original doctor did do. However John also has a human side that causes him to question things more. Not that he thinks differently than the doctor in that he still wants to protect the human race. John can also be a kind and caring person, an example is that is that there is clear love for Rose, it is something that even though there was love between the doctor and Rose, John is more expressive with his feelings than the doctor. John is sometimes also quick to temper, if he has been pushed to the limit by situations or people it can cause him to get angry, for example when he gets frustrated at not being able to fix a problem it can cause him to lash out at people.

The Doctor (he is his clone), Donna Noble (part of his cloning process which made him half human originally)

HISTORY:

John Smith is the genetic clone of the doctor that was created in the 10th regeneration of the doctor, after a failed extermination by a Dalek, the doctor had transferred the regeneration energy to a hand that he had previously had cut off by a cytiorak, 3 years previously in a battle over the earth. The doctor returned John Smith and Rose Tyler to the parallel world which Rose’s family resided in after fighting Daleks and Davros. The doctor gave John Smith to Rose as he claimed that John needed her now like he had needed Rose when he had first met her nearly 5 years ago.

When John had first started living together it was obvious that they were both in love with each other, Rose had convinced her parents to have John live with them claiming that he had nowhere else to go. However it was clear, even though they were in love and that they were like a married couple in some ways, they where both missing the time travelling, Rose in a more physical aspect. John missed it because of the fact that he had all of the memories of the doctor, yet he had don’t none of the things that he had seen himself.

John began working on creating his own TARDIS so that himself and Rose could travel together they had been given a piece of the original TARDIS by the doctor if they had ever chosen to travel again. within a couple of months John had managed to be able to create his own TARDIS, one of his own design that allowed Rose to travel throughout time and space in the universe that they resided in. It meant that it had improved their relationship as not only where they together but they were travelling together like they had done before Rose had gone to the parallel world two years earlier when they had been fighting Daleks and Cybermen.

When the rift had reacted again it opened a portal in the parallel world. John and Rose took the chance and travelled through the void. When they did this John became a full timelord instead of a clone of one. He doesn’t have the heart to tell Rose this as he fears that she would not want to stay with him now that he will have a longer life then he would have done in the other world.

• Description: After moving to the parallel world, the doctor began working on his own TARDIS so that he could move around this new universe and still help people, even though he didn’t have the time lord physiology. However he still had the same knowledge and training that the original doctor had done before he had been cloned. The doctor however changed the colour of the TARDIS as he wasn’t the same doctor. He instead chose to have the TARDIS be red so that he would be distinguished between himself and the other doctor. He built his TARDIS from a piece of the original TARDIS that the doctor gave him
