[/blockquote][/blockquote]Olivia is very much a blank slate. Whoever decides to pick her up will be essentially creating the whole character. You get to create her background, her personality, her play-by, her job – all the tough stuff – you even get to pick her species. Ford’s a pretty open minded guy, Olivia could easily be an alien if that’s what tickles your fancy. Her age is also entirely up to you but Desmond Ford is twenty-six now and, if you want to go for younger, I wouldn’t advise going much lower – they married at eighteen.
Here are the things that have been established with Olivia:
Olivia Anne Burke was at a coffee shop when she locked eyes and immediately fell in love with eighteen year old Desmond Liam Ford. Love at first sight, people call it. The two hit it off famously, even calling each other cutesy nicknames, Ford referring to Olivia as Olive and Olivia referring to Ford as Des, a nickname for his much-hated first name. Their relationship was fast and passionate and in a little less than a year the two of them were married.
All the while, Ford was climbing up the ranks in the military. About a year into their marriage, Olive found out she was pregnant. She and Ford were immensely excited and very much looking forward to their child. Around that time, Ford was approached by the Time Agency. Life went on beautifully, as their son Tyler was introduced to the world and Ford came to love his new job.
Everything was double-rainbows and daisies until Ford was twenty-three. He got his arm chopped off and fell into a deep paranoid depression. He stopped spending time with his family and could only think of revenge. Olive’s feelings at this point are entirely up to you, although she does, at one point, suggest to him that they take their son and run away together.
That whole crazy thing went on for a while and then Ford was secretly sent back in time to the 21st century, where he is now trapped -- and desperately missing his wifey. As for Olivia, she may or may not know what happened to her husband, it’s entirely up to whoever picks her up.
